HEIDI KLUM
Birkenstock styled by Heidi Klum was just a novel idea at first until Birkenstock supplied Heidi with the raw pattern and the supermodel went shopping for materials in New York.
Studs, beads, rivets and glass stones were pushed into the leather uppers with Heidi's own garlic press. One of the first prototypes was born on a flight between New York and Los Angeles.
Heidi Klum & Birkenstock is a partnership made to last. We are proud to continue Heidi’s popular collections and have brand new styles for 2008. And she is constantly looking for for her next inspiration, maybe even using the garlic press again! BREAST CANCER CAMPAIGN
Birkenstock UK customers help raise over £25,000 to help the fight against breast cancer by purchasing our limited edition hot pink patent Madrid this summer.
Your donation will help Breast Cancer Campaign by funding exceptional research that helps people like Kirste, who was diagnosed in 2005. Kirste is now trying a new combination of treatments as part of a clinical trial that is linked to research funded by this campaign. The results of this trial could ultimately lead to improved chances of survival for thousands of women. None of this would be possible without your support.
Breast Cancer is a disease that will affect one in nine women in their lifetime. Each year, around 45,000 women are diagnosed and around 12,000 die. Breast Cancer Campaign funds innovative world-class research to understand how breast cancer develops, leading to improved diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure.
Once again, thank you for all of your support - and stay tuned for the 2010 Breast Cancer Campaign hot pink patent Birkenstock.
