Cleaning and Caring for your Ugg Boots
It is important to learn how to care for your Ugg Boots before you start wearing them.
First, know the circumstances that your boots can handle. Your Uggs are made from sheepskin, which is naturally resistant to small amounts of water, however you should not soak them in water.
If you try not wear them in heavy weather conditions or through puddles they will last probably twice as long. When not wearing your Ugg Boots, keep them in a dry place.
Washing Your Ugg Boots
• Wet your entire boot with cold water. Try to use some sort of Sheepskin product to clean it thoroughly by using a sponge or brush. • After you have completed the first step put the Ugg boots or Ugg shoes in cold water then place in the washing machine to get rid of excess water. Put the washing machine on a spin cycle for about a few minutes. To reshape the Ugg boots/shape try stuffing them with any sort of soft paper, for example ‘kitchen towels’. • Do not try and dry the Ugg boots/shoes let them dry naturally. • After they have dried you may notice that they have possibly shrunk in size, this is normal and after an hour of wearing the Ugg shoes/boots they will be back to their normal size.
Cleaning Your Ugg Boots
If you have any worries about cleaning your Ugg boots/shoes in the washing machine, you can always clean them by hand. Give your Ugg Boots a brush with a soft cloth or a suede brush. This will get rid of some of the dust or small amounts of dirt that may be attached to the Ugg boot/shoe. Brush your boots in only one direction so either anticlockwise or clockwise to give an even texture.
To clean a spot or stain off your Ugg Boots: 1. Firstly damp the area you would like to clean with cold water. 2. Then, apply Ugg Australia Cleaner or very gentle soap and Conditioner to a wet sponge. 3. Try not to add the Ugg cleaner or soap directly to the Ugg boot/shoe. This may cause damage or you may be left with a stain. 4. Gently scrub the area. Do not scrub aggressively. Rinse the cleaned area with cold water. 5. Allow the Ugg boot/shoe to dry naturally and slowly. Do not put in direct sunlight. 6. Once the boot is dry, lightly brush the cleaned area with a suede brush. Brush in one direction only.
